Again, what until recently was impossible becomes reality: Oasis coming to Mallorca this summer, and with a new album under his arm. Thus ensuring that this year Isladencanta is simply unforgettable.

The group was in the early nineties under the name of Rain, with Liam Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCaroll. At that moment Noel Gallagher worked as a guitar technician for The Inspiral Carpets. When he returned to Manchester he found an existing group, and agreed to be part of it only if it was allowed full control over the songs. From that point, and under the name of Oasis’s Gallagher brothers did not stop doing gigs in small venues, until his steps were crossed with Alan McGee, the head of Creation Records (label of Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Boo Radleys …), at a concert in Glasgow. McGee did not think twice and offered them a record deal.

In 1994 appears “Supersonic”, their first single, and shortly afterwards a second, “Shakermaker”, both with good reviews and tentatively placed in the charts. Shortly before taking to the streets her debut, is “Live Forever”, their third single, which became a hit throughout England. As the group grows, with tours in auditoriums of increasingly large and when it begins to speak of oasismanía and also the appearance of the first evidence that the Gallagher brothers are in all respects: not do interviews together because far from encouraging and Noel left the band on the road during a disastrous American tour, returning home early. As the band was recording their fourth album, Bonehead left the band, saying he wants to spend more time with his family (Noel would say that was the worst bass player for England, and was not as if “Paul McCartney left the Beatles.” Shortly then is Paul McGuigan who leaves the group and enter Andy Bell, ex-Ride, and Gem Archer, ex-Heavy Stereo, after the recording of “Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.” The release of the album follows a global tour from that shown edited concert at Wembley Stadium, under the name “Familiar to Millions”.

However, Oasis seem to resist all the bickering and defections: “The Hindu Times” is his new single, advancement “Heathern Chemistry”, an album in which Gallagher continue in their pursuit of original and pop that is sure to returned to their communion with both critics and the public.

In fact, the single is already breaking records that they set with Oasis “Wonderwall” and is poised to become world number one in the middle. But most important, “Heathen Chemistry” has given us some Oasis together without fighting, working together on a disc that can become your biggest success to date. And is that despite everything, Oasis remains one of the greatest rock groups of all time, and his records are still mandatory for anyone who wants to talk about the past, present and the future of music history pop.
